Hamna, Hamda and Qamar have done some extra homework about The Blitz and WW2.

We have been using the Paintz app to develop our mouse skills on the laptops and draw some World War 2 pictures.

Zinedine and Rayan enjoyed learning about the Blitz so much that they decided to do some drawing at home. They also used the landscape drawing skills we learned in art this week too.
Well done.

We added to our work inspired by L.S.Lowry this morning. We are going to create our own landscape drawing towards the end of the unit. We have looked at other landscape work by famous artist such as Van Gogh, Constable and Monet too.

What is the point where the sky meets the ground called?
Today we worked more on using the forehand.

Today we were lucky enough to go into the forest to do our learning.

What was it called when everyone had to turn off all the lights?
Why did people turn off lights and not use headlights on cars during the Blitz?
Why did we paint white rings around the trees?
Hello children, parents and carers welcome to the first PE blog of year 2.
Today the Wise Owls worked together in various team games.

The Wise Owls listened carefully to each instruction and worked together to complete each activity.

Why not ask your children what they have learned today in PE class?

Thank you Wise Owls for a fantastic PE lesson.
Remember the Wise Owls need to bring their PE kits every Tuesday and Wednesday.
Have a great week.
Mr. Riley
We used Place Value arrow cards today for the first time. Wise Owls did really well and showed their knowledge of Place Value and how much digits are worth in 2-digit numbers.

We created poetry about ourselves by using ‘Rainbow Talk’. Rainbow Talk is a way of describing objects by thinking about the 5 senses as well as thought and feelings. The results have been fabulous. They go great with the art work from last week.
Here is our display.
