Children in need party with the Wise Owls. Thank you everyone for helping us spread awareness for such an important cause.
Wise Owls have been working hard in the forest… Time for hot chocolate and popcorn now!
Rain won’t stops us having fun! We’re tracing, writing, baking, painting and creating…we are learning!
Did you see the fireworks last night? The Wise Owls loved it and came back to tell us all about it!
Fun in literacy
Today the Wise Owls have been learning how to hold their pencil correctly for writing. We have been practising our crocodile grip, ‘snapping’ our fingers around the pencil and laying it down then writing our names. Everyone was able to do it brilliantly, please keep practising at home.
Trip to Green’s Windmill
Last week Wise Owls had an exciting trip to Green’s Windmill in Nottingham. We made and baked bread then had a trip up the windmill to search for The Little Red Hen. It was a fantastic experience for all the children which they enjoyed immensely…they were certainly tired on the way home.
Meet our class bear

The children thought of options for the name for our class bear and got to vote on their favourite. There was a clear winner and our teddy is nowContinue reading “Meet our class bear”
Our first PE lesson
Friday mornings are when Wise Owls have their PE lesson. Today we have been learning how to get ourselves changed ready for PE and how to use our body in different ways to move around the room safely. Please remember to send your children to school with their PE kits.
Dough Gym
This week in Wise Owls have been building up the muscles in our fingers and hands by doing Dough Gym exercises. We have been doing exercises such as ‘Around the World’, ‘Milk the cow’ and ‘Jazz Hands’. We have also sung songs and watched videos whilst doing Dough Gym activities. Please encourage your children toContinue reading “Dough Gym”
